Answers to the questions customers ask us most often – about fluids, spray technology, guarantee and ordering. Questions about a single product are also answered directly on the product page.

Choosing the right product

Which fluid belongs at which position on the edgebander?

Before jointing: release agent Lc 2/10. In the glue and pressure zone: protective agent Lc 2/40. After the pressure zone: antistatic coolant Lc 2/20. Before buffing wheels or flat scraper: cleaning agent Lc 2/30. Before the BRUSH-tec®: BRUSH-tec® agent. The overview with machine drawing is in our edgebander guide.

Solvent-based or solvent-free – which suits me?

The solvent-based fluids (Lc 2/10, Lc 2/20, Lc 2/30, Lc 2/40) are applied with the Premium two-component nozzle. The solvent-free system consists of iRelease and iClean: 100 % VOC-free, not dangerous goods, applied with the Ultra-Thin nozzle and CLOU®. Which solution fits better depends on your requirements and your machine – we are happy to advise you.

Can I switch to the solvent-free system?

Yes. This requires the Ultra-Thin nozzle and the CLOU® pressure tank, because only this achieves the ultra-thin application. Talk to us – we will clarify what your machine needs.

Which fluid do I use for surface cleaning?

After the edgebander, Lc 1/300 or BRUSH-tec® agent cleans the panel surface together with the BRUSH-tec® SF.

Spray technology and nozzles

Which nozzle do I need for which fluid?

The Premium two-component nozzle is designed for Lc 2/10 to Lc 2/40. iRelease and iClean are applied only with the Ultra-Thin nozzle in combination with CLOU®.

The spray pattern is uneven – what can I do?

Common causes are air in the fluid line, a dirty or clogged nozzle or a misaligned nozzle. Check lines and connections, clean the nozzle and realign it with the nozzle gauge. Use approved LcM® fluids only. If that does not help, our service team will support you.

How much fluid is consumed?

In a field test at an industrial plant, one litre with the Premium two-component nozzle lasted on average approx. 10,900 m of edge per nozzle. All values per position are in the field test article.

How do I replace a nozzle?

Disconnect the air hose, pull off the fluid hose, loosen the M10 nut, fit the new nozzle in reverse order and align it with the nozzle gauge. With the Ultra-Thin nozzle, release the pressure at the CLOU® first. Detailed instructions are on the service page.

Guarantee and service

What guarantee is there?

When LcM® fluids are used exclusively, we give a lifetime guarantee on our spray systems. Spare and wear parts for the Ultra-Thin nozzle and CLOU® are excluded.

How do I reach service in an emergency?
