From infeed to finishing: there is a suitable LcM® agent for every station of your edge banding machine. Release agents prevent glue build-up, antistatic coolants cool the glue joint and keep chips away, protective agents keep the scraper and pressure roller free of deposits, and cleaners ensure a clean surface at the outfeed.
Solvent-based agents also run on existing spray equipment – even more precisely dosed with the LcM® Premium two-substance nozzle. Solvent-free agents such as iRelease and iClean are applied with the Ultra-Thin nozzle and CLOU®.
Which agent goes where?
- Infeed – release agents: form a thin film on the top and bottom of the panel so excess hot-melt adhesive does not stick. LcM® release agents are glycerine-based instead of mineral-oil-based – no frame effect.
- After the pressure zone – anti-static coolants: cool the glue line and discharge static so chips do not stick to edge and panel.
- Scraper and pressure roller – protective agents: prevent deposits on tools and rollers.
- Outfeed – cleaning agents: remove release-agent film and glue residues before the buffing or brush unit.
For PUR adhesive we offer the Lc 2/37 PUR System Cleaner for application units and glue pots. Explained in detail in our guide: fluids on the edge banding machine.
