Lc 2/10 Release Agent
Lc 2/10 release agent is sprayed onto the workpiece surface in the infeed of the edge banding machine. It prevents PUR or EVA hot-melt adhesive from sticking to the surface, units and transport elements.
Unlike many mineral-oil-based release agents, Lc 2/10 is based on glycerine. It leaves no intense gloss streak and thus helps prevent the so-called frame effect.
Benefits
- Prevents glue build-up in front of the milling unit
- Glycerine instead of mineral oil – no pronounced gloss streak, no frame effect
- Silicone-free – painting, printing and bonding remain possible
- Less cleaning effort on the machine
Application area
- Infeed of edge banding machines with spray equipment
- Plastic, melamine, PVC and veneer edges
- EVA and PUR hot-melt adhesives
Application
Lc 2/10 also runs through existing spray equipment. With the LcM® Premium two-substance nozzle, application can be adjusted more finely and placed more precisely – saving liquid.

Frequently asked questions
Where is Lc 2/10 release agent used?
At the infeed of the edgebander, before pre-milling. It is sprayed onto the top and bottom edge areas so that squeezed-out hot-melt glue does not stick to the panel.
Why glycerine instead of mineral oil?
Mineral-oil-based release agents often leave a glossy strip along the panel edge – the so-called frame effect. Lc 2/10 is glycerine-based and helps prevent it. It is silicone-free, so painting, printing and bonding remain possible.
How high is the consumption?
In a field test at an industrial plant (25 m/min, Premium two-component nozzle) one litre per nozzle lasted approx. 9,500 m of edge (top) and approx. 4,300 m (bottom). Consumption depends on setting, workpiece and edge.
Is there a solvent-free alternative?
Yes. In the VOC-free system, iRelease takes over the job of the release agent.
Is there a guarantee on the spray system?
Yes. When LcM® fluids are used exclusively, we give a lifetime guarantee on our spray systems.
